Here’s a video about “toygers” (ridiculously expensive) and ashira cats (insanely expensive), the new “designer breeds” of pets. The toygers are popular in the UK and sell for a few thousand dollars, while the ashira’s are more popular in the US and have a price tag that starts at $20,000.

The Ventura County Star recently ran an article, rating and reviewing various unique Christmas gifts. The first listed was the CatGenie Cat Toilet.
“On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a toilet called the Cat Genie.”
Just a quick check on google will inform you that the CatGenie is supposedly the world’s only self-washing, self-flushing cat box.  And apparently the newer version drains hairballs, too.  The article in the Ventura Star reports that It is said to be invented by a former rocket scientist.

Lately, there’s been a  bit of a boom in popularity of exotic cats among the rich and famous.  Two such cats are the Savannah Cat and the hybrid Ashira Cat.  There’s some concern as to just how trainable these cats are.  In the case of the Savannah cat, most experts recommend getting at least a 2nd generation tamed one, rather than 1st generation.  Since the Ashira Cat is hybrid anyway, this cautionary measure doesn’t apply.  The Ashira is reported to be a bit more rambunctious than the typical house cat, …

OK, I know this has nothing to do with how to toilet train your cat, but it’s just sooo cool! It’s a video about a new strain of cat, called an Ashira Cat.

The cat is a cross between an African Serval and an Asian Leopard.  They sell for somewhere between $22,000 and $28,000 and when mature, measure 4 feet standing on their hind legs.  Check out the video!

Yep, the cat in this video named Gizmo loves flushing the toilet. I don’t know if he also uses the toilet for his “business”, but it’s a fun video to watch.

There’s a TV show in Australia where inventors or wanna be inventors can show their products or ideas and get feedback. Now more than 200 episodes of the show have run. One of these episodes can rightfully claim partial credit for our wonderful toilet trained cats.
